Yes you read it right, it has a built in LED light on the front part of the lens. Canon unveiled a few days ago a new addition to its macro lens lineup for their crop sensor cameras. The new EF-S 35mm f2.8 Macro Lens is equivalent to a 56mm on a full frame camera and with its price tag, it aims to bring the macro game to the masses.
This lens is compact and lightweight and the widest angle macro lens available in Canon’s lens lineup. This lens is also the first to feature built-in Macro Lites. The built-in lights on each side of the lens can be adjusted in intensity.
This lens has a minimum focusing distance of just 30mm (~1.18in) and with its f2.8 apperture it will surely give your photos a shallow depth of field and a nice background blur.
Other features of this lens to note – 10 elements in 6 groups, a Hybrid IS system with 4 stops of stabilization, extremely quiet autofocus, and full time manual focus.

No word on its availability here in the Philippines but the new Canon EF-S 35mm f/2.8 Macro IS STM will be available starting June 2017 with a price tag of $349 abroad.
